My yanmar 1700 is overheating. Does anyone know if it has a water pump.The light comes on after about 30 minutes of cutting grass. I have checked the water level and antifreeze to water ratio all is fine. I don't see any water movement in the raditor when the motor is running like you do in a car. Any help would be greatful.

Disreguard on the water pump. It doesn't have one. Does anyone know how the two cylinder diesel circulates water through the engine. ....

It is a thermosiphom system. Water rises as it is heated in the engine & sinks as it cools in the radiator. It is important to premix the coolant & not use over 30% antifreeze except for freeze protection. ....
